We provide a holistic and sustainable Youth Skills Development program for school leavers and unemployed youth from challenged backgrounds (aged 18-35), where all achieve and succeed in life and contribute to a successful, prosperous, and non-discriminatory South Africa, of which we can all be proud.
We offer to the qualified and eligible youth/students office-based, online, and in-the-field opportunities to acquire direct practical experience in both SKLE Solutions and third-party companies. An apprenticeship is a work-based route of achieving qualifications for students who are interested in working in a practical and technical field as an artisan. An apprenticeship is focused on trade. All trades are listed by the National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB). This body is responsible for moderating trade tests.
Work-integrated learning (WIL) is the process of placing a student into a work environment — either paid or unpaid — that integrates the knowledge and skills they have acquired through their studies with workplace practices.
In doing so, students are exposed to real-life situations and problems that businesses deal with daily. They’re able to practice their future profession before graduation.
This training is one of the most significant tools empowering young people with the critical skills needed to prepare them for the working world. We focus on supporting unemployed young people from under-resourced communities to prepare for and access opportunities for work and further studies after Matric. It has been designed to give candidates the theoretical and practical framework and language needed to develop their professional behavioral competencies.
